Brief:
BenRiach's web site was built on
WebPowerTM
vContent some 18 months ago but the company wanted to extend the site's value to their trade customers by providing an on-line library of image and graphics which could be downloaded for use in promotional work by advertising and PR agencies. They also could see the advantages of creating a library in which they could hold and manage images and documents for internal access and use.
Solution:
The site was updated with the addition of our digital asset management application vLibrary. Trade users can access the library through a secure login area of the site and then search and browse images and documents. The site administrator(s) can structure the library and create folders as needed, upload and apply descriptions and specifications to all stored digital files and then manage the library as a central, web accessible company resource.
Outcome:
Since building the library and presenting it to their many trade and industry contacts, BenRiach have had a very positive response with their distributors and dealers seeing the online library as a highly valued support service. From an internal viewpoint there have been two gains - first, BenRiach can now quickly and easily locate and make use of images and documents which previously were often hard to find and secondly, the time (and cost) of searching, locating, copying and mailing images and documents to distributors and dealers has disappeared!
